Included Health is seeking a proactive, strategic, and highly analytical Manager in Revenue Accounting to lead the Company’s revenue accounting operations, contract lifecycle governance, and quote-to-cash process oversight. This role will be responsible for managing a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with ASC 606/460, and driving strong cross-functional alignment across Sales, FP&A, Customer Success, and broader Accounting. The ideal candidate brings deep SaaS revenue expertise, strong operational acumen, and the leadership capability to scale processes, systems, and people as the business continues to grow. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our revenue accounting operations and will serve as a key partner to senior leadership. Leadership & Team Management Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Revenue Accounting team.
  • Set clear expectations, manage workloads, and promote a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Establish structure, documentation, and best practices to support scalable growth.
  • Provide ongoing technical training and mentorship to team members on ASC 606/460 and revenue policy application.
  • Revenue Accounting & Contract Governance:
  • Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle management, ensuring accurate setup of new, renewal, and amended contracts within Workday and related systems.
  • Ensure consistent application of the Company’s revenue recognition policy and compliance with GAAP, ASC 606/460, and internal controls.
  • Review complex contracts, significant transactions, and non-standard arrangements, providing revenue treatment guidance to aid in leadership and audit review. 
  • Review and maintain quarterly PG/ROI accruals based on fee and savings data reported through customer success and actuary.
  • Month-End & Quarter-End Close:
  • Lead and manage the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and review of team-prepared schedules.
  • Lead and manage billing and cash application of contract accounts receivable.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue, deferred revenue, usage rating, and related financial results.
  • Own variance explanations and present revenue outcomes to senior accounting leadership.
  • Systems, Automation & Process Improvement:
  • Drive continuous improvement in the quote-to-cash cycle by partnering with Customer success, Sales Ops, and FP&A.
  • Lead efforts to automate revenue processes, enhance Workday configuration, and optimize usage/subscription billing workflows.
  • Champion scalability by identifying process gaps, implementing controls, and ensuring traceability and auditability across order fulfillment, reporting, and system workflows.
  • Compliance, Controls & Audit:
  • Own the revenue-related SOX controls, ensuring documentation accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and External Audit teams by providing support, schedules, and timely responses for control and substantive testing.
  • Ensure the integrity of revenue forecasts, deferred revenue balances, and accounting execution.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
  • Provide insight into trends, anomalies, and forecast implications based on revenue activity.
  • Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc analytical requests as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA highly preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition; combination of public accounting and industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end quote-to-cash processes in a SaaS or subscription environment.
  • Experience with Workday ERP and Salesforce; Looker or other BI tools a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner across teams.
  • High degree of initiative, professional skepticism, judgment, and integrity.
  • Pay:
    The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
    Zone A: $108,890 - $141,560 + bonus + equity + benefits
    Zone B: $119,779 - $155,716 + bonus + equity + benefits
    Zone C: $130,668 - $169,872 + bonus + equity + benefits
    Zone D: $141,557 - $184,028 + bonus + equity + benefits

    Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
