Manager, PR & Client Services (B2B)

As a Manager, you are responsible for initiating, developing and managing appropriate communication strategies and programmes to achieve clients’ objectives and be responsible for their overall successful implementation and management.


Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Day-to-day management of account, including WIP meetings, according to agreed programme and scope of work
  • Fully familiarise oneself with clients’ business and related industry, client contacts, and clients’ internal communication processes
  • Prepare and submit on time all client meeting contact reports
  • Prepare client monthly activity reports detailing all activities carried out for the month
  • Ensure all materials and reports submitted to clients are timely, accurate, error-free and approved by account lead (account consultant or director)
  • Oversee and sign-off on all materials and reports for client submission
  • Brief and manage third parties e.g. designers, photographers, event companies and vendors
  • Manage and oversee client events, logistics and coordination
  • Serve as account lead, manage client contact and correspondence
  • Provide accurate deliverables and budget estimates using the PRecious Communications Estimator for projects & retainers
  • Manage and track client deliverables and budgets to prevent over-servicing and ensure account profitability
  • Responsible for assembling the “best team” for client project or retainer
  • Proactively alert relevant director to any emerging client or budget issues
  • Oversee media monitoring, compilation of media clippings and media pitching
  • Build and cultivate relationships with the media and influencers
  • Brief clients’ spokesperson ahead of interviews

Client Management & Strategy Counsel

  • Contribute strategic and creative inputs for clients’ PR programmes, proposals and at client meetings
  • Provide client counsel, proactively build client trust and relationships
  • Develop long-term strategic plans / recommendations for clients, ensuring alignment and integration with clients’ marketing and digital strategy and execution
  • Develop senior-level client programmes including thought leadership campaigns, key messages and positioning
  • Develop relationships with senior-level client contacts
  • Position the agency as a strategic partner to the client
  • Monitor and alert team and directors to emerging and potential PR or industry issues relevant to client
  • Prepare recommendations to forestall or capitalise on emerging PR or industry issues
  • Develop and present issues & crisis comm plans and strategies to clients
  • Prepare comms programme or project evaluation reports at appropriate intervals
  • Conduct periodic strategic comms programme reviews for clients and recommend adjustments if required
  • Assist in media training of clients
  • Understand the media landscape (e.g. knowing top media titles / journalists relevant to clients)

Content Development

  • Oversee and manage the quality of content development (writing skills, strategy) and provide final sign-off for content
  • Adapt and customise content for different audience and formats
  • Create hooks and create media / audience appeal (e.g. strong pitch, headline, caption)
  • Use narrative and composition skills to tell a story
  • Contribute to higher-level content (thought leadership, bylines, case studies, client or media endorsements, white papers, media roundtables, yearly planning, quarterly PR plans)
  • Create or development KOLs programme specific to the needs of Corporate or Consumer accounts.

Team Work & Management

  • Live and advocate PRecious Principles
  • Manage, coach and train junior or new members
  • Offer and help others beyond own scope of work
  • Conduct performance appraisals, training and sharing sessions

Business Development & Management

  • Contribute in business development pitches and undertake research / intelligence gathering
  • Identify organic business opportunities from existing clients locally and across countries
  • Develop and cultivate leads for new business
  • Lead or co-lead in business development pitches
  • Coach team members in business development skills
  • Contribute to the management of the Singapore office including staff development, recruitment, identifying new growth areas
  • Work with Director bench on building, identifying and achieving new business pipeline and revenue goals
