Manager, Platform Growth and Operations

TLDR

Lead a team focused on enhancing online platform capabilities and ensuring user satisfaction through strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.

The Platform Operations team is ultimately helping to drive more holistic solutions and action to maximize the marketplace transactions with a healthy service level for users. We are looking for Manager, Platform Growth and Operations who will lead the team to grow the online platform / marketplace while ensuring good user experience through various business initiatives and online platform tactics for both users and drivers, while also driving the product capability enhancement needs and priorities and maintaining an on-going dialogue with our city operations teams. You will need to wear many hats, work smart and iterate quickly. What you'll do
  • Lead and guide the team on reviewing market performance and driving various initiatives to grow the online platform business across all markets, by combining data insights and local market intelligence. Areas include (but not limited to) initiatives to sustain and grow user and driver retention and activeness (e.g. incentives, tactical pricing changes, order allocation), grow the product offerings on the platform.
  • Establish frameworks, processes and workflows to facilitate better decision making and enhance operational efficiency, through combination of data analysis, market intelligence collection and collaboration with other Functional Departments and city teams.
  • Drive marketplace product and capability enhancements through defining and articulating the business requirements and ensure a smooth end-to-end feature rollout at city level.
  • Collaborate closely with other Functional Departments on cross-functional initiatives. Support adhoc projects as required.
  • Prepare the online platform budget for all markets, and maximise the effectiveness and ROI of implemented campaigns and initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide the team to bring the most out of them and support their personal and career development. 
  • What you'll need
  • 5+ years of experience in operations with frequent use of analytics or data. Relevant experience in a high growth start-up environment or online marketplace / platform preferred but not a must.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make tradeoff with clear business objectives in mind.
  • Previous experience working with, analyzing, and presenting findings from large data sets
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder and project management
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural and functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluent proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Occasional travel is required
