About the role
As the Manager of Operational Excellence, you’ll drive the strategy & development of a new operations team focused on driving scalability. You’ll work closely with Product Development, Operations, Clinical Care, and many other teams across our business to identify, design & implement solutions that enable them to operate more efficiently and effectively.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Process design & implementation
- Lead the design & successful implementation of solutions that are sustainable and efficient into our operational processes. Build longevity & durability into our operations.

Design of new processes including conducting process mapping, requirement gathering, stakeholder interviews, and proposals for new, edited, or deleted processes.
- Oversee the build of the process, led by the Operational Excellence Associate, meets the success criteria you’ve laid out for the workflow or process.
Team leadership
- Lead a small team to support them in achieving performance goals
- Develop your team member(s) and facilitate regular career & development conversations, coaching sessions, and annual performance reviews.
- Maintain an inclusive and psychologically safe environment where team members feel comfortable giving and receiving feedback, communicating openly, and collaborating closely
Strategy development & execution
- Create & hone a functional strategy for how your team identifies, prioritizes, and implements their work
- Identify and evaluate success metrics for your team’s work
- Collaborate with Product Development to align on priorities and determine where to apply tooling, process redesign, or both.
Key areas of impact:
Within first 90 days:
- Onboard onto our systems, document existing processes, and generate proposals for top 1-2 areas to focus on improving efficiency.
- Define & use a framework for approaching process improvement; do first evaluation of this framework & identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Within first year, you’ll:
- Successfully launch 5-10 process improvements with clearly defined impact on scaling blockers
- Define & share a strategy for identification & prioritization of key areas for your team to work on
- Create & share a consistent strategy for your team’s approach to building new processes to unblock scaling, which might include defining & operating under industry best practices (like Lean Six Sigma)
- Establish a strong partnership with Product Development to enable us to systematically identify, review, and tackle key areas that are blockers to scale
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in building new systems for improving operational excellence at scale
- Can use data to drive decisions & perform root cause analysis
- Has experience managing a team of individual contributors
- Can prioritize responsibilities with various stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Will collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to conduct root cause analysis, identify opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Navigates ambiguity effectively & can can prioritize across various stakeholders
- Uses data to drive decisions, develop insights, & assess success
- (nice to have) Lean Six Sigma certification
- (nice to have) Has experience working in mental health or healthcare
Compensation & Benefits
The offer range is dependent on qualifications and experience. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $111,900 and $131,600. The full salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $111,900 - $151,300.
