Manager of Organizational Development and Effectiveness

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Organizational Development and Effectiveness, will play a vital role in the growth and success of our hospital teams and field leadership. This role will support critical organizational priorities which are dependent on improved employee capabilities and performance. You will champion change by implementing practical development activities that progress our long-term agenda. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic project planning with day-to-day operations management.
The Impact You Will Have Every Day:

Develop and deliver training programs: Create engaging and effective training materials for veterinary hospital staff and leadership, to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Support leadership development: Collaborate with District Managers and other field leadership to provide training and resources that support their ability to lead and manage hospital operations.

Training needs assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify skills gaps and training needs within the hospital teams and leadership. Utilize this data to inform training priorities.

Continuous improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Adjust programs to improve outcomes and relevance.

Onboarding support: Design and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires at both the hospital and field leadership levels.

Collaboration with HR: Partner with the HR team to align training initiatives with broader talent development strategies.

Act as a change agent: Collaborate with leaders and staff to facilitate adoption of new programs and initiatives.

Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on training activities, including participation rates, completion rates, and training outcomes.
What We Look For:
- 5+ years in training and development, preferably within a veterinary or healthcare setting
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful training programs for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding of the essential components of organizational performance; organizational effectiveness, team development, instructional design, adult learning, behavior and culture change, needs assessment, and program evaluation.
- High emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, work with a range of stakeholders, and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to keep track of multiple moving pieces at once
- Veterinary Med background a plus
- A love for pets, and a passion for taking care of them
