Manager of Finance   

We are a multi-state, multi-unit retail tire and automotive services company with 300+ locations across the United States. Our people are at the center of our success, and we are committed to fair and consistent employee relations practices across all locations.

Experience: 3–5 years of senior-level experience in automotive and/or retail environments preferred, but not required.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university or equivalent experience
  • Accounting degree preferred 
  • 3-5 years finance / accounting experience with automotive and/or retail experience preferred
  • Demonstrated progression within a finance function
  • Demonstrated people management capabilities 

 

General Responsibilities

  • Complete annual budgeting and forecasting process 
  • Month end close consolidation
  • Liaison with Percheron Capital with questions from private equity team
  • P&L management and analysis
  • Overhead spend analysis (e.g. insurance)
  • Cost / margin management for the organization 
  • Execute monthly management presentations to Percheron and other key leadership team members
  • Complete annual audit and valuation exercises
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests from Percheron and other key executives on financial health of business 
  • Support other support center functional finance needs (e.g. department budgets)
  • Perform strategic projects for company senior leadership as needed focused on growth and cost maintenance 
  • Prepare Board presentations and ongoing updates to Percheron 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Apply critical thinking, problem solving, and reasoning abilities, when challenged with opportunities to improve efficiencies
  • Leadership skills and experience managing teams, including developing junior talent
  • Have a “roll up your sleeves” mentality, ability to adapt quickly and deliver exceptional results
  • Experience with cash flow statement and balance sheet preferred
  • Experience with a SaaS budgeting software preferred
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to communicate updates and opportunities with internal teams and store operations
  • Experience and interest in artificial intelligence (AI) programs and usage
