Job Summary
The Manager of Trim/Cure is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Trim and Cure department, ensuring all tasks and duties are performed correctly and efficiently from receiving harvested plants in the Trim room to fully processing the dried product to be ready for packaging. This role provides hands-on leadership, maintains compliance and quality standards, and supports cross-functional workflow with other departments. The Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager of Post Production.

Pay for this role is $75,000/year 

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all departmental activities, including workflow pacing, product quality separation, equipment upkeep, and quality control.
  • Provide clear, consistent leadership aligned with PharmaCann’s mission, values, and performance expectations. Maintain a positive work environment and support strong team morale.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and collaborate with Post Harvest and Packaging leadership to optimize trimming, drying, curing, and downstream results.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met and adjust departmental practices as regulations or SOPs change.
  • Enforce all policies, procedures, and company standards, and support ongoing training to maintain staff competency and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Post Harvest in staffing needs, including assigning daily work, monitoring performance, coaching, evaluations, and corrective action.
  • Manage attendance-related processes including time off requests, schedule adherence, and documentation.
  • Assist with departmental or facility projects by defining scope, resources, and timelines.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of workflow throughout the cultivation facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies and Qualifications
Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to meet productivity standards, manage multiple deadlines, and resolve operational
    issues.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve conflict and navigate complex situations professionally.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create, modify, and utilize electronic documents; advanced technical skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, regional, and federal employment laws related to supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 2 year of employment with PharmaCann.
  • Preferred: 2 year of experience in a commercial cannabis operation.
  • Preferred: 2 year of leadership experience.
  • Required: Experience in a fast-paced production environment; supervisory experience preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use computers and hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work throughout cultivation, warehouse, and office environments, handling cannabis material manually and using trimming, sorting, and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop regularly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Consistent, on-time attendance for a standard 40-hour workweek, with occasional overtime required.
  • Occasional travel within the region by motor vehicle.
