The Trust & Safety team is dedicated to ensuring that all Pinners have a safe experience on Pinterest. As Manager II, Machine Learning Engineering, you will be responsible for building and leading a team focused on enabling a scaled approach to understanding existing gaps in the coverage of our safety systems and the detection of new unsafe trends.

What you’ll do:

Define the scope of the Pinterest Surveillance team and the required skills.
Grow the team's capabilities through career development of the current engineers and strategic hiring.
Facilitate and enables a high performance team culture.
Build a platform to perform internal safety surveillance at scale.
Collaborate with other companies across the industry to share resources and best practices.
Work with 3rd party surveillance vendors to augment our internal surveillance.

What we’re looking for:

Experience managing or leading a team that has performed internal safety surveillance at scale.
Strong people development skills and software project management skills.
Proven success launching complex software development projects that deliver high-impact outcomes.
Curiosity for leveraging data and metrics to identify challenging opportunities and build impactful solutions.
