The Position
The Manager, GIS will be responsible for supporting utility-scale renewable energy project development efforts across the country. The role will focus on managing consultant-sourced geospatial data, including but not limited to cadastral data, ALTA survey products, and environmental field survey results. The Manager, GIS will be responsible for ensuring external data meets Arevon’s data standards, establishing workflows for curating data within Arevon’s ArcGIS Online infrastructure, and maintaining communications with internal teams and external parties to ensure that products are being integrated into Arevon’s systems accurately and promptly.
The role will also be responsible for performing analyses to support active development activities, engaging in suitability modeling and competition analysis to support the development of new solar and battery storage projects.
The Manager, GIS role provides an opportunity for candidates well-versed in GIS systems to gain experience in the renewable energy industry and advance their career. The ideal candidate has experience or a strong interest in renewable energy, education in a GIS-related field, and three (3) or more years of experience working in a GIS role. More particularly, candidates should have experience working with and managing cadastral, survey, and environmental datasets.
