GBA LLP is seeking a current position in the role of Manager. This role is perfect for someone with a desire to grow and is looking to gain a diverse experience. You will take on key responsibilities in assurance, accounting, tax, and advisory services, collaborating closely with senior managers and partners. You will have the chance to lead a team in a fast-paced, supportive environment while managing a variety of client accounts.
· Manage the accounting, assurance and tax service needs of a portfolio of private clients, including the review or preparation of personal, corporate and trust tax filings for many of these clients and others.
· Manage the engagement process from initial scheduling and planning through to client review and financial statement sign off.
· Meet with clients regarding financial statements, tax returns, other business matters and engagement issues.
· Provide journal entry and account reconciliation guidance to clients.
· Discuss proposed time budgets with partners and assign engagement budgets to staff.
· Identify new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
· Manage a team of Accountants.
· Respond to client requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
· Salary Range - $95,000 - $115,000 per year.
· A minimum completion of University Degree with a specialization in Accounting.
· CPA, CA or equivalent designation obtained or close to completion preferred.
· Minimum 4 years of years of public accounting experience is required.
· Ability to multitask – managing multiple, ongoing client engagements.
· A passion for client service with a proven track record of supporting client’s adherence to reporting timelines.
· Exceptional documentation skills, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timeliness.
· Strong communication skills, both in explaining complex information and in written documentation.
· Computer proficiency in audit, accounting and tax software, as well as, Microsoft Office, and a high comfort level with technology.
· Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
· Strong knowledge of accounting and assurance principles (ASPE, ASNPO, CAS).
· High level of personal initiative and a positive, can-do attitude.
