As the Manager FP&A, Inventory, you will play a key role in supporting our Supply Chain cross-functional business partners as well as our regional leaders and finance partners, with a focus on optimizing and scaling for growth, through enhanced KPI and reporting visibility. You will work closely with senior leadership and other internal stakeholders to drive brand performance through analytical insights and financial support and will play a key role in enhancing the financial performance management of Global Inventory, a key enabler of our growth trajectory and a critical measure of the financial health of our business.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Product & Supply Chain Financial Planning & Analysis team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future performance and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, the team advises leadership on key trends and financial management strategies, with a focus on gross margin and inventory performance improvement.
If you were in the Manager FP&A, Inventory role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Developing and reporting against Global and Regional inventory financial forecast models, inclusive of KPIs
Partnering with Regional Finance and Supply Chain leaders to understand key trends and drivers of monthly Global financial results
Leading the completion of monthly and quarterly corporate reporting, ensuring information provided is consistent with requirements from Amer (parent company)
Partnering with Supply Chain org to understand and capture supply data and align on operational actions to achieve financial targets
Partnering with Accounting team to evolve and streamline processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Partnering with Amer (parent company) to evolve reporting granularity to support more robust performance measurement
Partnering with Data & Analytics team to implement dashboards and automation tools
Implementing key cross-functional initiatives in support of accuracy and predictability of inventory costing
Centralizing and publishing key inventory inputs to leverage in P&L planning across FP&A teams
Leveraging dashboards and automation to enable sharing of financial results and drivers to cross-functional and regional partners
Are you our next Manager FP&A, Inventory?
You have 5+ years proven experience in Finance and/or Financial Planning & Analysis role, ideally with experience in inventory management
You have an in-depth understanding of the drivers of inventory at a vertical retail brand
You have experience in multi-currency, global consolidated reporting
You have a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent and ideally have your CPA, CMA, CA, CFA, or MBA
You have exceptional attention to detail
You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for MS Excel and data analysis tools
You are highly proficient in accounting systems and business intelligence (BI) tools
You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries
You can coordinate and lead projects to completion
You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
