Role Summary

Husk is seeking a Manager, Employee Experience to design, implement, and manage initiatives that enhance employee engagement, well-being, performance culture, and overall employee experiences at Husk Nigeria.

This role ensures employees are supported throughout the employee lifecycle—onboarding to exit—while promoting a culture of inclusion, recognition, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Engagement & Experience Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives that strengthen culture and boost morale.
  • Develop and manage surveys, pulse checks, and listening mechanisms to gather feedback and identify improvement areas.
  • Analyse engagement insights and work with functional leaders to address hotspots.
  • Support activation of Husk culture programs and values across all sites.

2. Onboarding, Assimilation & Employee Journey

  • Oversee an exceptional onboarding and assimilation experience for new hires in collaboration with TA, HR Ops, and functional teams.
  • Implement structured 30-60-90-day check-ins and feedback loops for new employees.
  • Document and manage all touchpoints across the employee lifecycle to ensure positive employee experiences.

3. Performance & Capability Support

  • Collaborate with the Talent Management Specialist to coordinate performance reviews, mid-year reviews, calibration sessions, and feedback implementation.
  • Track performance documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Support capability-building initiatives such as coaching programs, mentorship circles, and development sessions.

4. Employee Relations Support

  • Provide first-line support for employee concerns, escalating sensitive issues to HR leadership.
  • Support conflict resolution and communication interventions.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation of HR standards and policies across business units.

5. Recognition & Reward Experience

  • Coordinate non-monetary recognition programs that promote motivation and reinforce Husk’s culture.
  • Support the execution and communication of reward interventions aligned with talent and performance outcomes.

6. Wellness & Inclusion Programs

  • Lead wellness initiatives including mental health, safety awareness, and work-life balance activities.
  • Promote programs that enhance connection, inclusion, and workplace belonging.

7. HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track employee engagement metrics, onboarding effectiveness, culture indicators, and feedback implementation.
  • Provide insights and reports to the Talent Management Specialist for strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously refine employee experience processes to enhance satisfaction and retention.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • 4 - 7 years Proven experience in Employee Experience, HR Operations, or Employee Engagement roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, people processes, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement employee lifecycle programs.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data and recommend actions.
  • Experience in driving employee-focused projects and change-management initiatives.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal partnerships.
  • Minimum of Associate membership in CIPM, CIHRM, CIPD, or SHRM. is mandatory
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong sense of empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive issues with discretion.

Location and Travel

This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria.

Salary

NGN400,000 to NGN700,000
