The embedded pose and sensors group develops software that estimates the vehicle velocity in order to control the vehicle's motion. This role is to lead this team, including the management of the engineering staff, general system architecture ownership, and strategic planning for the system.
Responsibilities
Lead the team responsible for developing embedded pose and sensors group
Coordinate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure development meets downstream needs
Manage system architecture to ensure the sustainable growth and stability of the system
Develop a productive team culture and best practices to ensure stable and testable software development
Qualification
Experience with state estimation systems, ideally in the field of robotics or motion control
Experience with technical leadership, team lead, or small team management
Experience with cross-team requirements gathering and planning
Embedded systems development on resource-constrained devices ranging from MCUs to MPUs
C++ experience in a safety-critical environment
Bonus Qualifications
Linux kernel. Experience controlling hardware from the kernel
Experience with Yocto or other embedded Linux build frameworks
Experience with networking technologies
