Main purpose of the job:

The Manager Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management, planning, and execution of maintenance activities for all electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, ensuring uninterrupted production processes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

About the job

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for EIA installations;

  • Coordinate fault analysis and implement long-term solutions (root cause analysis);

  • Lead the maintenance team, including capacity planning, coaching, and skills development;

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ATEX, NEN, IEC);

  • Manage SECE according to Seveso standard (Hazop, LOPA,  LOD);

  • Optimise maintenance processes through TPM, RCM, or predictive maintenance strategies;

  • Manage maintenance budgets and monitor costs;

  • Evaluate and select external maintenance contractors and suppliers;

  • Document all maintenance activities in a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS);

  • Advise on replacement investments and modernisation of equipment and systems;

  • Willingness to participate in on-call duty and work outside regular office hours when required.

Requirements

About You

You recognize yourself in the following competences: flexible, stress resilience, pragmatic, cost awareness, natural leader & coach, communicative & independent. In addition, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent;

  • Minimum of 5–8 years’ maintenance experience in an industrial environment;

  • Practical knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, instrumentation, high- and low-voltage installations;

  • Experience with maintenance strategies (TPM, RCM, condition-based monitoring);

  • Proficiency with CMMS systems (e.g. SAP PM, Maximo);

  • Strong problemsolving and planning skills;

  • Good communication skills in both English and Dutch.
