Manage the deployment and support infrastructure for Imogen, ensuring its efficacy in customer environments while building a high-performing engineering team.
As Manager, Delivery Infrastructure Engineering, you will be expected to:
Own the end-to-end deployment model — from reference architectures and installation workflows to hardening, upgrades, and ongoing environment support across customer environments
Enable Delivery teams and SI partners to use Imogen effectively, and draw a clear boundary between Mechanical Orchard's infrastructure ownership and partner-led modernization execution
Partner with Platform to influence roadmap and architecture decisions, serving as the voice of real-world deployment complexity in platform prioritization
Engage with Sales and Delivery during pursuits to define infrastructure scope, set readiness criteria, and reduce downstream delivery risk before engagements begin
Build, hire, and develop a high-performing infrastructure engineering team through consistent coaching, career development, and a culture of ownership
Define the processes, playbooks, and metrics that move infrastructure delivery and support from heroics to a repeatable, scalable operating model
7+ years in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in an engineering management or team lead role
Experience deploying and operating enterprise software in complex, regulated, or multi-tenant customer cloud environments
Demonstrated ability to build scalable delivery and support models — playbooks, runbooks, reference architectures
Experience supporting pre-sales or technical scoping activities — defining infrastructure approach, environment prerequisites, and readiness criteria alongside sales and delivery teams
Experience enabling external partners or systems integrators through documentation, onboarding frameworks, or direct engagement support
Track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working across Sales, Product, and Delivery
Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity across organizational boundaries
This is a client-facing leadership role with direct accountability for delivery outcomes across multiple engagements.
The role includes regular domestic travel to client sites, up to approximately once per month, to support customer relationships, delivery oversight, and key engagement moments.
You will work closely with executive-level client stakeholders and internal leaders, often navigating high-stakes conversations and tradeoffs.
Much of the work involves complex legacy systems and long-running modernization efforts, where progress is incremental and risk must be actively managed.
The work often spans ambiguity across customer needs, partner capabilities, and platform maturity.
Mechanical Orchard builds Imogen, a unique modernization platform that rewrites critical business applications, enabling them to adapt to fast-changing market conditions. Our technology leverages advanced data engineering and AI to minimize risks and disruptions that typically hinder modernization efforts, providing businesses with reliable and efficient solutions.
