About The Role:

You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise-wide automation and AI initiatives across Ironclad’s business technology landscape. You’ll combine technical depth and hands-on leadership to deliver scalable automations, AI-assisted workflows, and governed data integrations that materially improve employee and customer experiences and business velocity.

You’ll partner with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align automation programs with business priorities, lead a high-performing team, and establish the frameworks, standards, and observability needed to scale safely and reliably.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the enterprise automation and AI strategy, balancing hands-on technical contributions with leadership of cross-functional initiatives.

  • Own architecture and technical oversight for resilient, observable automation frameworks and AI-enabled workflows; provide hands-on guidance in Workato, Glean among others and AI model integration with an emphasis on scalability and governance.

  • Lead enterprise integrations (e.g. GTM, EPD, G&A, Business Technology systems) with a focus on data quality, reusability, and automating business and analytics workflows.

  • Operationalize AI use cases (knowledge retrieval, intelligent triage, automated approvals, autonomous and prompted user workflows) across applications, platforms and AI tools.

  • Establish governance and standards for design, testing, monitoring/observability, and documentation; ensure adherence to security, data governance, and compliance practices.

  • Engage and influence stakeholders/executives to shape priorities and drive adoption of AI-driven capabilities across functions.

  • Hire, mentor, and retain top talent across automation engineering, analysis, and architecture; promote a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years in automation, integration, or data engineering, including 3+ years in leadership roles.

  • Proven expertise with Workato, Glean, Okta, and enterprise apps such as NetSuite, Salesforce, BambooHR, Engineering and ticketing systems.

  • Strong architectural/automation design skills preferred.

  • Hands-on technical background in ETL/ELT, data modeling, SQL/T‑SQL, and scripting/developing (e.g., Python, Ruby, or similar).

  • Experience operationalizing automation workflows and AI agentic models for enterprise use cases.

  • Demonstrated strengths in hiring, motivating, and retaining top technical talent.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive influence; translate business needs into automation/AI strategies with measurable outcomes.

  • Ability to conduct feasibility studies, budgets, and project proposals for enterprise-scale initiatives.

  • Track record introducing innovation in automation and AI while maintaining governance and reliability.

  • Glean Hands-On administration and API proficiency

  • Workato Automation Pro certification preferred

Base Salary Range: 170,000 - 190,000

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
