As the Manager of Financial Statement Review, you will lead a team dedicated to review, optimization, and support of financial statement preparation for fund clients and ad-hoc structures. Your responsibilities include ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), and effective client management. This role emphasizes expertise in financial review, process improvement, technology utilization, cross-department collaboration, and innovation.

Your Daily Tasks
1. People Management Responsibilities:
Includes (but not limited to) the following tasks:
a) Team Management - Manage the company’s global technology and product teams and ensure that all team members have relevant Job Descriptions that include Tasks and KPIs.
b) Day-to-day Team management – Managing the team on a day-to-day basis by implementing:
c)Team Satisfaction - Monitoring the team's capacity and ensuring high-level satisfaction and work-life balance.
d) Feedback and Coaching - Providing feedback and coaching to the team members with the aim of constantly improving their performance.
e) Team Training - Coordinating and providing training and development programs within the technology and product teams as or when required.
f) Team Succession planning - Identifying any high-potential and high-risk employees and developing the relevant succession plans.
2. Financial Statement Review and Oversight:
Includes (but not limited to) the following tasks:
a) Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements prepared by the Financial Preparation team, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and high-quality presentation.
b) Process Accountability: Take ownership of the financial statement review cycle and be accountable for adherence to deadlines, service levels, and client expectations.
c) Complex Structures: Support and review the preparation of statements for complex fund structures, addressing intricate financial and regulatory requirements.
3. Process Development and Technology Optimization:
Includes (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
a) Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance financial statement processes through automation and system integration, minimizing manual intervention and increasing operational efficiency.
b) System Utilization: Collaborate with technology and operations teams to optimize existing systems and identify new tools to streamline data transformation for financial statements.
c) Innovation Implementation: Drive the adoption of scalable processes, leveraging technology and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
4. Operational Efficiency and Innovation:
Includes (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
a) Workflow Enhancement: Develop, implement, and refine workflows to support seamless financial statement review and improve productivity.
b) Scalability Focus: Identify opportunities to expand and scale financial statement support services to meet client needs and market demands.
c)New Solutions: Collaborate with product teams to design and introduce new services tailored to changing client needs and market conditions.
5. Client Service and Support:
Includes (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
a) Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for clients utilizing the Financial Statement Review Service, addressing their needs with professionalism and insight.
b) Client Engagement: Build and maintain client relationships, proactively managing expectations, service requests, and bespoke solutions.
c) Industry Adaptation: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices to continuously adapt and enhance service offerings.
6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Integration:

a) Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and jurisdictional changes affecting entities reporting under IFRS or US GAAP.
b) Act as the primary contact for all client interactions with external auditors, ensuring comprehensive, accurate, and timely responses.
c) Support new fund onboarding by ensuring smooth integration into financial statement workflows and compliance standards.
d) Policy Implementation: Help implement compliance policies at the operational level.
e) Monitoring Tools: Utilize tools to monitor compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
f) Compliance Culture - Working in tandem with the groups Head of Compliance and Governance to instill a culture that is centered around good governance and compliance.
g) Reporting: Assist in preparing compliance reports for management review.
h) Issue Tracking: Track and manage compliance-related issues and follow up on resolutions.
i) Communication: Communicate compliance requirements effectively within the team.
