Machine Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
Location: Ashland, VA
Pay: $26 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Contract-to-Hire
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to support our production operations on the 1st shift. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of machine shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on machine shop equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
Work on CNC lathes, mills, saws, plasma burn tables, water jets, press brakes, and similar manual machines.
Identify and order parts, install replacements, and verify equipment functionality.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and adhere to all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience in a large company or with a maintenance service provider preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
