The Maintenance Supervisor will lead all maintenance activities supporting textile weaving, finishing, and material handling operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage maintenance operations for textile production equipment, including looms, high-pile weaving machines, finishing equipment, coating/lamination systems, and material handling systems.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs tailored to textile machinery and woven fabric processes.
  • Conduct routine inspections of textile equipment and plant systems to identify mechanical, electrical, or safety issues and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, drives, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems commonly used in textile manufacturing.
  • Plan and oversee repair, installation, and upgrade projects related to textile production lines and supporting utilities.
  • Assign tasks, coordinate daily maintenance activities, and supervise textile maintenance technicians and external service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including work orders, equipment history, and downtime tracking for textile machinery.
  • Manage inventory of textile-specific spare parts, tools, and consumables while controlling maintenance costs.
  • Track maintenance expenses and operate within an approved budget.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and quality standards specific to textile manufacturing environments.
  • Build strong working relationships with equipment vendors, loom manufacturers, and textile machinery service providers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Required: Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Lead in a textile manufacturing environment.
  • Required: Hands-on experience supporting woven fabric, high-pile textile, or engineered textile production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of textile machinery, including weaving, finishing, coating, or specialty fabric processes.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills within a textile plant setting.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs for textile equipment.
  • Ability to track, document, and report maintenance activities related to textile production efficiency and uptime.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume textile manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
