Join us as a Maintenance Manager in Pryor, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. In this role, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, guide preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and manage annual maintenance and shutdown budgets that keep our production running smoothly. You’ll drive equipment reliability, communicate clear maintenance plans to stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement across the facility. Working closely with teams throughout the site, you’ll foster a culture of operational excellence and strong cross‑functional coordination to meet production needs.

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Upholding safety protocols within the maintenance department and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards,
  • Directing the Maintenance team, including the Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Planner, E&I Supervisor, Storeroom Clerk, and DCS Specialist,
  • Overseeing maintenance and reliability programs, processes, and systems,
  • Developing training plans that strengthen maintenance capabilities, including CMMS usage, problem‑solving methods, risk and failure analysis, maintenance scheduling, and equipment‑history reviews,
  • Maintaining adequate parts availability in the MRO stockroom to reduce downtime while balancing cost‑effective inventory levels,
  • Managing maintenance‑related spending to support efficient, cost‑effective operations,
  • Driving root cause analysis efforts to eliminate recurring equipment problems,
  • Putting into action findings from root cause analysis and mechanical monitoring tools such as vibration or oil analysis,
  • Participating in and facilitating optimization audits, customer audits, and ISO 9001:2015 internal audits,
  • Contributing to the creation and refinement of best practices that support long‑term asset integrity,
  • Fostering a proactive work environment where mechanics and E&I technicians are actively involved in planning, coordination, and execution of work,
  • Collaborating with teams to identify capital needs related to asset integrity and supporting long‑term capital planning,
  • Guiding the scoping and execution of capital projects,
  • Monitoring project progress against planned timelines and performance targets,
  • Overseeing turnaround preparation, verifying required inspections, and assessing the criticality of unexpected findings with the Maintenance team,
  • Setting departmental goals that enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability,
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work orders and historical maintenance data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience,
  • 5-8 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing setting,
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role,
  • Proven experience managing CAPEX projects and maintenance programs,  
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and form sound conclusions,
  • Demonstrated ability to influence behaviors, decisions, and outcomes,
  • Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled at prioritizing tasks with well‑developed organizational and time‑management abilities,
  • Knowledge of reliability-oriented maintenance and engineering standards.
