The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe and efficient production operations in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain production machinery, mechanical equipment, and related systems
Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance programs
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
Communicate regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor and production teams regarding equipment performance and operational issues
Perform root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and performance
Provide technical support to equipment operators and assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics
Order parts, tools, and supplies necessary to complete maintenance activities
Plan and execute assigned projects within established timelines and resource constraints
Test and verify proper equipment operation following maintenance or repairs
Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance activities and completed work
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and maintenance practices
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards
Stay current with applicable technologies, tools, and industry practices
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, diagrams, and schedules
Effective organizational and communication skills
Ability to analyze problems and implement practical solutions in a production environment
