For one of our clients, we are looking for a Machine Learning Manager - Ads Auto-Bidding, remotely from Canada.

As the Machine Learning Manager for the Ads Auto-Bidding team, you will lead a group of engineers to build large-scale, real-time systems that optimize bids and maximize advertiser value. Your team will develop cutting-edge auto-bidding solutions, using machine learning algorithms to automate and improve the bidding process for advertisers. Accountabilities:

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Auto-Bidding team, balancing technical innovation, operational efficiency, and business impact.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of high-performance auto-bidding algorithms and advertiser-facing products.
• Lead efforts to build scalable and reliable systems, ensuring smooth, real-time bid processing and budget delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to align strategies with business objectives and KPIs.
• Manage and mentor a team of machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of engineering management experience, particularly with ML or related technical teams.
• Minimum of 6 years of industry experience with large-scale machine learning, ideally in advertising or marketplace optimization.
• Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) in building and deploying ML systems.
• Expertise in marketplace optimization, experimentation, and metric design.
• Proven ability to work with control systems, reinforcement learning algorithms, and bid/pricing optimization solutions.
• Experience leading teams in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
