Job Purpose:

To directly manage the maintenance program and execute capital investment projects for Vivo Energy Namibia LPG Business countrywide. To offer technical engineering advice to the LPG business & LPG customers of Vivo Energy Namibia

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To deliver LPG projects end-to-end to strict deadlines, according to Vivo Energy standards, within approved budget and agreed timelines.
  • Prepare minor and major maintenance budgets for filling plants, distributors & B2B customer sites.
  • Plan, schedule and execute maintenance works according to VE Engineering Maintenance Guide within agreed budget and with no overdue.
  • Manage and appraise performance of LPG service providers for maintenance & CAPEX projects to achieve set KPI’s.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities (Ministries, Urban Authorities, Weights and Measures, etc.) to obtain necessary approvals, compliance and ensure no risk to VEN.
  • Manage the movement & disposal of engineering assets according to VE standard and Country regulation.
  • Provide regular technical training to site staffs, customers and contractors when required.
  • Ensure compliance to VE HSSEQ standard and country regulation throughout the execution of this position.

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • Must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable engineering school (home or abroad), a minimum of four (4) years working experience in an engineering environment, preferably in downstream oil business (LPG preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Should have Project management skills, negotiating skills, computer literate in CAD, interpersonal skills, product knowledge (LPG), contract management skills, and good communication skills through his/her innovativeness.
  • Expertise in key Functional areas to be at a sufficiently high level to provide long-term direction and to support the day-to-day engineering maintenance activities of the depots.
  • Position requires extensive travelling.
  • Must have a driver's license.
