What Will You Be Doing?

  • Manage execution of service agreements while maintaining good relationships with trading partners.
  • Create and maintain key performance indicators, metrics, and other logistics reports/analytics.
  • Utilize data to identify issues, trends, and exceptions to drive improvements, initiate change, and find solutions.
  • Systematically escalate problems to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
  • Research policies, rulings, recent news/publications, and other related issues and recommend actions.
  • Identify business and functional requirements for the IT teams to create and enhance the software systems and tools utilized.
  • Perform forecasting, allocation, and capacity planning.
  • Process cargo claim documentation, submit claims, and monitor through payment receipt.
  • Initiate, setup, and manage special customer programs and projects communicating and coordinating within the Logistics department and cross-functional groups.
  • Attend and at times run meetings with internal and external partners.
  • Initiate relationship and training with vendors ensuring uniform implementation and direction to all parties.
  • Create and maintain all SOP documents for International Logistics and implement with stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

 

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of global logistics industry experience
  • Understand supply chain concepts, logistics terminology, shipping/contract terms and transportation cost structure across various transportation modes
  • Has in-depth knowledge of Logistics and the ability to plan and execute shipments to meet business needs while maintaining overall costs and service levels relevant to corporate goals
  • Work on projects during unconventional work hours as needed
  • Good understanding of electronic data interchange (EDI) across systems
  • Must be able to work with confidential information
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work across the company and with all stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to independently make decisions, follow through on projects, take initiative, and self-direct
  • Ability to utilize report writing tools to obtain information
  • Ability to analyze data and generate clear, actionable information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $32.56 - $43.27 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. Quarterly travel may be required.
