Day-to-Day Logistics Operations:

  •   Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, domestic and international.
  •   Provide operational support to internal teams for shipment execution.
  •   Manage exceptions including missed pickups, damages, losses, or carrier failures.
  •   Own freight claims and resolution with carriers and insurers.

Customs, Duty & Tariffs:

  •   Manage customs clearance processes and broker operations globally.
  •   Review and approve shipping documentation including commercial invoices, HTS classifications, country of origin, valuation, and Incoterms.
  •   Ensure duties, tariffs, and taxes are accurately assessed and charged by customs authorities and brokers.
  •   Audit duty and tariff charges against HTS classifications and shipment documentation to identify errors or overpayments.
  •   Drive corrections, refunds, or post-entry adjustments where discrepancies are identified.
  •   Stay informed on tariff changes and trade regulations that may impact logistics cost or lead time.
  •   Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and maintain audit-ready records.

Process & Continuous Improvement:

  •   Maintain and refine existing logistics SOPs and workflows.
  •   Identify targeted improvements to reduce cost, lead time, or risk.
  •   Support the evolution of logistics processes as shipment volume and complexity increase.

Metrics & Reporting:

  •   Track and report logistics KPIs including cost, transit time, and on-time delivery.
  •   Use data to drive continuous improvement and carrier performance management.

Requirements:

  •   6+ years of experience in global logistics, freight operations, or supply chain.
  •   Strong experience negotiating carrier pricing and managing shipping lanes.
  •   Strong understanding of customs, duties, tariffs, and trade compliance.
  •   Experience reviewing and validating duty and tariff assessments.
