Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: The Logistics & Account Assistant supports the sales, operations, and warehouse teams by coordinating freight and logistics activities across the business. This role also provides day-to-day administrative support to sales and marketing, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient handling of logistics-related tasks for all departments that require freight support.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Quoting freight, domestic and export. Extending the freight network of JC to ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Generating freight documentation for exports and imports (20 hours a week liaising with customers)
  • Tracking imports and exports containers – ANYTHING THAT MOVES he/she’s the conduit for it.
  • Use of planner, Microsoft word, sharepoint, salesforce and xero to coordinate shipments & respond very quickly to customer requirements.
  • Export and domestic freight rate excels.
  • Invoices and closing off opps on salesforce when invoices come through Manage and maintain computer-based accounting systems
  • Maintain and organise internal systems and filing
  • Create & execute procedures for freight.
  • Creating pallet labels
  • Produce reports and statements
  • Complete import and export documentation and filing in SP and on SF.
  • Assistance with sample preparation and despatch
  • General administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Strong aptitude with a high level of attention to detail
  • Highly organized, conscientious, and patient; thrives in structured environments
  • Type A personality with the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, including:
  • Export documentation
  • Making and managing freight bookings
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Xero, and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
