The Logistician provides comprehensive logistics support to Air Force flight test and operational organizations by managing supply, maintenance, transportation, and services functions associated with aircraft modification and daily operations. This position ensures effective control, movement, and availability of instrumentation hardware, maintenance equipment, tools, and test assets in support of mission execution. The role supports integrated logistics planning and execution across multiple functional areas, maintaining accountability, accuracy, and readiness within a secure operational environment at Nellis Air Force Base.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage operating stock and perform supply material management functions in support of aircraft modification and daily operations.
• Support maintenance, transportation, and services operations, including tool control and test equipment calibration activities associated with precision measurement equipment laboratories.
• Maintain accurate inventories of instrumentation Group A and Group B hardware kits and associated assets.
• Control and monitor all stock and inventory activities to ensure accountability and availability of assets.
• Provide logistics support to flight test organizations, including coordination of equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Monitor, locate, schedule, and control the movement of maintenance equipment and conduct periodic inventories using computerized inventory management systems.
• Distribute maintenance equipment to customers based on operational demand and mission requirements.
• Assist customers with the procurement of maintenance equipment, parts, and supplies as required.
• Receive, track, and process orders and equipment supporting Data Laboratory operations.
• Prepare, coordinate, and integrate integrated logistics support requirements for systems and equipment.
• Develop and maintain logistics requirements plans, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans, and operational or interim support plans as required.
• Assess and coordinate logistics requirements across multiple ILS functional areas to support mission execution.
Requirements
Minimum Education, Experience, and Clearance Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of logistician experience.
• Experience supporting logistics activities for flight test or aviation organizations is preferred.
• An active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.
