Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Band 7 to join the pharmacy team at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with recent hospital experience in medicine and surgery wards, looking to contribute to safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced NHS environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and checking prescriptions, supporting ward-based clinical pharmacy services, and utilising EPMA systems to optimise medicines management.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen and clinically check prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Deliver ward-based clinical pharmacy services across medicine and surgery.
• Use EPMA systems (Cerner and Wellsky) to support prescribing and administration.
• Provide expert advice on medicines use and optimisation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Recent experience as a ward pharmacist in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of medicines management.
• Competent in using Cerner and Wellsky EPMA systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
