Litigation Paralegal – Kazakh Speaking

Provide legal and administrative support to the EU & CIS Litigation Team, with a focus on handling data requests and supporting litigation projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal and administrative support to the EU & CIS Litigation Team, with a particular focus on the CIS region.
  • Handle smaller legal claims that have been escalated to the Legal team.
  • Assist with requests from third parties, particularly data requests from courts in Kazakhstan.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tracker of all litigation matters.
  • Support the preparation of litigation reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the team with the onboarding and management of external counsel, including: drafting engagement letters, monitoring costs and matter budgets and reviewing invoices and billing.
  • Assist in handling inheritance-related matters, including reviewing supporting documents and assessing them against current internal procedures.
  • Support various aspects of litigation matters, including discovery and data production.
  • Lead and/or support broader team projects aimed at improving efficiency, particularly AI-related initiatives.
  • Requirements:
  • Professional fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Kazakh (preferred) and/or Russian is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent legal qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in a legal and/or compliance role is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy, rigor, and reliability.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing responsibilities independently.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership; proven ability to manage workload independently is preferred.
  • Hands-on, practical, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
