We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team. As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems, including servers and cloud network infrastructure.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and associated instances and software systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, software, and network issues
- Perform system backups and recovery procedures
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the system from unauthorized access.
- Manage environments and containers using tools such as Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with other Cloud Infrastructure Engineering teams and members to ensure the smooth operation of the system.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
What You'll Bring to Us:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relative experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux system administration
- Proficient in managing Linux-based systems, including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security measures for Linux systems
- Fluent in English - both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience in managing environments and containers using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes- an advantage
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification - an advantage
- Experience with cloud-based systems, such as AWS or Azure - an advantage
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl - an advantage
