At Backpack Healthcare, we’re re-imagining mental health care for children, teens, and young adults. As a clinician-led, minority-owned organization, we believe that when clinicians thrive, kids thrive.
We are experiencing strong growth across Illinois — particularly among Spanish-speaking families — and we are actively seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) therapists who are passionate about reducing barriers to culturally responsive mental health care.
If you’re fluent in Spanish and committed to serving diverse communities, this is an opportunity to make a powerful and lasting impact.
Many of the families we serve prefer therapy in Spanish. Your language skills can:
Increase access to care for underserved communities
Strengthen trust and therapeutic rapport
Support parents and caregivers more effectively
Reduce stigma and cultural barriers to treatment
Bilingual clinicians are strongly preferred!
Work from anywhere in Illinois with flexible scheduling.
Provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and families who need it most.
CEU reimbursement (up to $300 annually)
Free clinical supervision (for LMSW/LPC roles)
Ongoing training and advancement opportunities
Participate in our growing Residency & Fellowship Program and mentor early-career clinicians.
Collaborative care model with PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and engaged leadership who prioritize clinician well-being.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy via secure telehealth
Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments
Develop culturally responsive, client-centered treatment plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
Support families with education, tools, and ongoing care coordination
$45–$65 per billable hour (based on license)
Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (full-time eligible)
401(k) with 3% Company Match
Paid Time Off
Employee Assistance Program
$25,000 Company-Paid Life Insurance Policy
CEU reimbursement + ongoing training
Supervisor opportunities for qualified clinicians
Active Illinois license: LPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Experience serving children, teens, and families
Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
