We’re currently hiring a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide virtual outpatient therapy services to adult and adolescent patients through a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving 10 clinic sites across Maine. 

What You'll Do 
As part of a collaborative, well-supported care team, you'll: 

  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and establish treatment plans 

  • Provide virtual therapy services to patients ages 10+ with moderate to high acuity 

  • Treat a range of diagnoses, including MDD, GAD, SUD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia 

  • Utilize evidence-based modalities with a strong foundation in CBT (DBT and EMDR a plus) 

  • Build and maintain long-term therapeutic relationships with patients 

  • Collaborate with psychiatry, crisis services, case management, peer support, MAT services, and more 

  • Support a diverse referral system including internal, self-referrals, and external referrals (ROI required) 

 

More About the Role 

  • Setting: 100% Remote | FQHC serving 10 sites across Maine 

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8am–5pm EST | 40 hours/week 

  • Technology: Athena EMR + Lifesize video platform 

 

Appointments & Caseload Expectations 

  • Approximately 10 appointments scheduled per day, with an average of 8 completed sessions 

  • Session lengths range from 30–60 minutes 

  • Maintain a panel size of 40–65 patients 

  • Utilize administrative time during no-shows; concurrent documentation strongly encouraged

  • Monthly Behavioral Health Provider meetings for supervision and collaboration with LCSWs and PMHNPs 

  • Access to comprehensive wrap-around services including: care management, behavioral health schedulers, medication management, onsite pharmacy, MAT services, case management, community programs (AA, NA, Celebrate Recovery, food pantries)

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in providing therapy services as an independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)  

  • Active LCSW Maine license required or ability to obtain within standard timelines (~4 weeks) 

  • Full-time availability (40 hours/week) during EST hours 

  • Strong experience providing therapy across varying acuity levels 

  • Strong foundation in CBT; DBT and EMDR experience a plus 

  • Comfortable treating patients ages 10+ 

  • Telehealth experience preferred 

  • Reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory
