TLDR

Lead the creative vision for level design while mentoring a talented team to innovate and deliver immersive gaming experiences for millions of players.

Your daily tasks:

  • Leading the overall Level Design direction for the project(s) you’re in charge of.

  • Working with the Creative Director and the Game Director to iterate, implement and execute on key design and level building principles.

  • Working with the Quest Director to ensure the best level design support for quest/narration purposes

  • Collaborating with the Art Director to balance visual detail with gameplay functional requirements, ensuring environments support clear player navigation and orientation.

  • Regularly reviewing the game and provide useful and precise feedback to guide the team towards content completion and quality (world building, quests/missions, open world activities, etc.).

  • Managing and mentoring the level design team, ensuring high-quality level creation across the project, and empower individuals to grow in expertise.

  • Establishing and maintaining level design standards, best practices, and documentation.

  • Proactively identifying cross-discipline challenges and risks to the project and offer solutions.

  • Minimum 8 years of professional level design experience including leading/directing a level design team.

  • Experience working on at least one AAA project as a Level Design Director (from conception to release).

  • Experience designing levels for FPP games.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.

  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize and deliver best quality work on deadlines.

  • Very good command of English.
