Legal Trainee

Your mission

We are now looking for a business-oriented Legal Trainee to support Matrix42’s international legal function in its various daily tasks and projects. Key responsibilities:

• Drafting and commenting commercial agreements (e.g. sales contracts, DPAs, NDAs) across jurisdictions in Europe 
• Assisting in data protection matters
• Planning and implementing a contract management processes and AI enabled legal workflows
• Corporate governance tasks of an international software business
• Supporting in corporate development and M&A activities
• Any other tasks the team may have 

The position is

• part-time and for a fixed term until 31.12.2026.The role is based in Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working option. You can start either immediately or at the end of the summer.

Your profile

Must have: 

• Law student past mid-point of your studies
• Business acumen and a keen interest in software and AI
• Excellent skills in English and Finnish are needed to succeed in the role 

Nice to have: 

• Skills in German considered a big plus
• Work experience from a law firm or legal department is a plus
• Some understanding and/or previous experience from data protection matters
