Job summary
The position is a front-line working, mentoring, training, and supervising role. You are working with a team of 5 or less employees and assisting the team reaching success while ensuring quality production. The Legal Support reports to the Manager of Legal Services. The Legal Support role supports a Team of Legal Specialists that are focused on property code, accounts receivable process, working with attorneys and clients. Typical background would be a leader in law, para-legal admin, accounts receivable, or from the collections industry. The Legal Support will manage a team, manage attorney portfolios, various administrative tasks, and works closely with attorneys and the Manager of Legal Services on various legal matters. This role is especially well suited for someone enjoying mentoring while also being heavily engaged in the day-to-day work.
The day to day will consists of the following, but not limited to:
Managing attorney portfolios
Responding to and meeting with client and customer inquiries
Drafting general business correspondence related to legal matters
Review and interpretation of documents
Process files and research
Posting invoices, checks, and ticket management
Educating employees and homeowners
Managing metric spreadsheet
Assist with training and developing of employees on the team
Actively engage in production and ensure monthly goals are met
Answer questions on technical legal tasks and escalated legal issues
Execute projects as assigned by the Manager of Legal Services and Senior Leadership
What will the Expectations of this Role be?
This position requires strong attention to detail and analytical/auditing skills.
Must be able to troubleshoot, solve problems, work independently while adhering to strict deadlines, and work at a fast pace for a long period of time while maintaining accuracy.
Must also be detail oriented, take pride in producing great work, possess a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
Must have accurate alpha numeric data entry skills.
Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word
Must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our homeowners and vendors over the phone while communicating in a professional and helpful manner.
Must have clear and concise written communication.
Must have an understanding of account reconciliation.
