Legal Operations Manager - Budapest

We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Operations Manager to join our expanding legal team. This role will report to the Director of Legal and Compliance and will collaborate closely with our external legal ecosystem, authorities, SEON’s Sales, HR, and other teams on developing legal frameworks for new and innovative products and services. 

This role is hybrid and will work on-site in our Budapest Headquarters three days a week. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Ensure legal support for our customers and internal stakeholders
• Support the legal team in drafting and negotiating various contracts and modifying existing contracts according to our guidelines.
• Join client calls and maintain contact with authorities and other external parties upon request
• Drive internal legal projects where substantial legal support is required
• Manage, mentor and coach junior team members and lead by example
• Systematize already signed documents and manage the contract database
• Review agreements, focusing on privacy and IT security requirements, balancing business interests with clients’ needs
• Assist with applications for compliance certification and regulatory approval (E.g., e-gaming permits)
• Participate proactively in legal research, anticipating and identifying legal and regulatory risks
• Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, advertising, IP, and privacy laws and regulations, including fraud prevention and money laundering
• Research and monitor SaaS/Software industry compliance requirements (relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• A JD Degree and be a qualified attorney under Hungarian Law with 3-5 years of PQ working experience
• A strong blend of management and hands-on experience in a SaaS startup environment
• Ability to communicate in English fluently
• Previous experience working with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
