Vable is a news aggregation and publishing platform that supports international law firms, consultancies and government departments in staying ahead of critical developments.

We help our clients manage information overload by streamlining the way they discover, curate and share vast volumes of professional content.  By delivering the right information to the right people at the right time, we enable lawyers and business leaders to stay informed, respond faster, and make confident decisions - all while saving valuable time.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented and curious graduate to join Vable in a varied role spanning finance, operations, and legal administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain broad business experience while working directly with the CEO.

You'll learn financial management fundamentals, take ownership of contract management, and support the InfoSec team with compliance and risk management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, has exceptional attention to detail, and wants to learn and grow into additional responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing (Day to Day)

  • Legal & Contract Administration
  • Manage all client and supplier contracts through their lifecycle
  • Review and finalise standard contracts
  • Maintain organised contract repository with key dates, obligations, and renewal tracking
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel when needed

Policy & Compliance Management

  • Support Head of InfoSec with information security documentation and compliance
  • Coordinate policy reviews, approvals, and implementation across the organisation
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments and audits for key high-risk suppliers
  • Maintain current copies of supplier certifications, security credentials (2FA, etc.), and DPAs

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Assist with building and maintaining dashboards
  • Manage KPIs on behalf of various departments
  • Support teams with documentation, cost tracking, and budget management
  • Create and maintain process documentation

Finance Operations

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and expense processing in Xero
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis
  • Support budget tracking and financial forecasting
  • Coordinate with external accountants for year-end accounts and tax filings

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Degree level education with strong academic performance
  • Relevant experience in finance, operations, legal, consulting, or related fields (including internships or training contracts)
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and document software
  • Skilled in working with cloud-based systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Fast learner eager to pick up new skills across multiple functions
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent written communication
  • Intellectually curious with genuine desire to learn

Highly Desirable

  • Law qualification (LLB, GDL, LPC, or SQE)
  • MBA from a UK business school
  • Finance or accounting degree or professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Professional qualifications in compliance, risk management, or information security
  • Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting software
  • Experience with contract management or legal documentation

Why This Role Matters

This isn’t a traditional, single-lane role. You’ll be stepping into a pivotal position that helps free up the CEO and the Head of People & Ops to focus on high-impact work. You’ll have meaningful exposure across financial operations, operational improvements, legal contract management, and key policies. As you grow, the role will evolve to match your strengths and interests, giving you room to take on more responsibility and become an essential force in keeping the business running smoothly.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive training and mentorship across all areas of responsibility
  • Work from home budget and learning budget
  • Private health care following successful probation
  • Broad exposure across finance, operations, and legal functions
  • Opportunity to shape processes and systems
  • Remote-first culture with flexibility
