Summary:
Traders Trust, a leading provider of online trading services with over a decade of experience in the financial markets, specializing in CFD trading, is seeking an experienced Legal Officer to join our team in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, while working closely with various departments and providing legal support across different areas of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and advice to the management and company departments,
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards,
- Monitor and interpret applicable legislation and regulatory requirements,
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper implementation of legal and regulatory procedures,
- Understand and oversee all corporate activities in Cyprus and other entities,
- Prepare legal documents, reports, and documentation for regulatory or internal purposes,
- Coordinate with external legal advisors or lawyers when required,
- Conduct legal research and protect the company against legal risks,
- Liaise with authorities (e.g., Cyprus Registrar of Companies) and assess forthcoming regulations as needed,
- Support corporate governance and ensure company policies align with legal requirements,
- Provide legal support on intellectual property matters (including trademarks)
- Participate in ad hoc projects and provide legal advice as necessary,
- Any other duties and responsibilities relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position. Prior experience in the Forex compliance industry will be considered an advantage
- Fluent in English and Greek (both oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of legal and compliance documents and terminology
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-organized, with strong attention to detail
- Computer literate (MS Office, project management software etc.)
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload effectively
