We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join us on this journey.
You'll be the go-to legal advisor for multiple teams, providing pragmatic and strategic counsel across a diverse range of matters from commercial contracts and employment issues to regulatory compliance and product development. Your versatility will be key: one day you might be negotiating a SaaS agreement, the next advising Human Resources on workplace policies or reviewing marketing campaigns for compliance. Throughout it all, you'll need to be able to balance legal rigor with commercial objectives, ensuring we grow sustainably while staying compliant with Austrian and EU regulations.
📍: We are a distributed team and aim to create opportunities for people to come together in person HOWEVER this role requires physical presence at our headquarters are in Vienna, Austria 3 days a week.
4+ years relevant legal work experience with a minimum of 1 year working in-house at a company.
Experience in the telecommunications or SaaS industry
Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Strong knowledge of Austrian employment law
Advising on and implementing compliance topics
Ability to balance legal rigor with business pragmatism
Self-organizing with ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Experience adapting legal advice to different audiences (technical teams, executives, stakeholders)
Quick learner who can master new areas of law as business needs evolve
Very good German and English language skills (spoken and written)
Nice-to-have:
Austrian Bar Exam (Rechtsanwalt) or equivalent legal qualification
Basic understanding of Intellectual Property and Data Protection law
Background working in-house at a high-growth technology company
Compensation Range: €60,000 - €70,000 per year depending on experience
