As Legal Counsel, you will support business operations across LATAM North by leading key commercial contracting processes, supporting corporate governance matters, and coordinating legal risk management in partnership with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Key Responsibilities

          Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, supply and distribution contracts, NDAs, credit agreements and related documents.

           Provide full corporate secretarial support for LATAM entities, including shareholders’ meetings, board resolutions, powers of attorney, mergers, spin-offs and corporate restructurings.

           Coordinate and follow up on active litigation matters across the region, working closely with external counsel.

           Handle and respond to requirements, audits and inquiries from regulatory and governmental authorities in LATAM.

           Advise internal stakeholders on labor law and foreign trade / customs matters.

           Provide guidance and ensure compliance in personal data protection and privacy matters.

Risk Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Identify legal risks across different business areas, assess potential impacts, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the main legal point of contact for internal departments.
  • Support strategic projects with a preventive, business-oriented legal approach.

Regional Scope

  • Act as the legal lead for the assigned region, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and local regulatory requirements.

Who are we looking for?

Must-have (Indispensable):

  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate/commercial law.
  • Law degree (license to practice in Mexico required).
  • Strong background in corporate law
  • Experience in contract negotiation and comprehensive legal advisory.
  • Regional or multinational experience is a plus.
  • Advanced English, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams worldwide.
  • Knowledge of Legal CLM tools.

·       Previous professional experience in at least one jurisdiction outside Mexico is strongly preferred, either in a recognized law firm or as in-house counsel in a multinational company.
