Job Purpose

The Paralegal will provide vital support to the legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of legal and compliance related processes. This role includes administrative and organisational tasks, managing legal documentation, and coordinating internal and external legal matters. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and an understanding of legal and corporate requirements, including regulatory requirements stemming from GDPR and data privacy.

Areas of Responsibility

Legal & Compliance Support

• Assist with the completion and submission of due diligence forms, regulatory and corporate filings, as well as compliance documentation.
• Triage legal requests from internal teams, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate legal team member and followed up on as needed.
• Maintain and update legal templates, contracts, and other documentation, ensuring they align with company policies and legal best practices.
• Support the legal team in reviewing and processing contractual agreements as well as updating contract database.
• Support the data protection and infosecurity teams on ad-hoc requests.

Administrative & Meeting Support

• Organise and take minutes for the Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings and other meetings as applicable, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution.
• Track follow-up actions from SMT meetings, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure completion.
• Liaise with external legal advisors, law firms, and regulatory bodies as required.

General & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Act as the key point of contact for legal queries from various departments, ensuring efficient communication and resolution.
• Support the Head of Legal and the broader legal and infosecurity team with administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, and preparing reports.

Requirements

• At a minimum, possess a bachelor degree in law
• Prior experience in a legal administrative role, at least for 2 years.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents and compliance processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft packages
• Basic knowledge of corporate law, contract law and data privacy regulations.
