The Lecture Recording Assistant supports in-person classes by recording lectures using a personal mobile phone or recording device and capturing photos of boards or slides when permitted. Candidates will be expected to attend in person classes at university/colleges in the Toronto and  surrounding regions. These service providers help students overcome barriers in class to succeed!
No prior experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record in-person lectures using a personal mobile phone or external recording device
  • Take photos of boards, slides, or graphs during class when permitted by the instructor
  • Upload and share recordings and images with the Habitat Learn team
  • Communicate important class announcements or note-taking requirements, as needed
  • Arrive on time and remain attentive for the duration of the class
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion in academic settings

Requirements

  • Access to a smartphone or recording device (equipment not provided)
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred

    • Experience in an academic setting
    • Familiarity with basic file sharing (e.g., Google Drive, email)
