Pulse is seeking an experienced Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join a Learning Disabilities service in Grimsby. This is a unique opportunity to work within a psychology-led, multi-disciplinary team supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who are at risk of offending or have an offending history. You’ll play a key role in helping service users transition safely from secure care into the community, reducing risk and promoting independence. Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Take a senior role in managing complex cases and risk assessments.
  • Deliver offence-specific therapeutic interventions and treatments.
  • Chair and facilitate complex case reviews and multi-agency meetings.
  • Contribute to service development, policy review, and research initiatives.
  • Communicate complex psychological formulations and treatment plans effectively within the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Doctoral-level training in Clinical or Forensic Psychology (BPS accredited).
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with complex cases and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and consultation skills.

Desirable:

  • Post-doctoral training in specialist areas.
  • Experience in service development and policy implementation.
  • Leadership or management qualification.
