About the Project

This project involves designing and implementing tools and platforms that support shared learning and collaboration among organisations working towards cleaner air. We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead the development and pilot of a one-to-one grantee matching programme, a virtual learning exchange pilot, and related knowledge sharing recommendations to enable knowledge exchange between grantees working on clean air action in different geographies.

Scope of Work

Working closely with the Senior Head of Learning and Innovation and the Learning and Innovation Manager, you will develop a one-to-one grantee peer matching process and pilot and a virtual learning exchange, with comprehensive tools and learning products to support long-term use of a newly designed knowledge sharing strategy for a global clean air funder.

Phase 1: Discovery (March)

  • Review of the latest knowledge sharing strategy design and an updated work plan with monthly implementation goals defined.
  • Ongoing strategic alignment with the Learning and Innovation team: active participation in weekly project sprints for the duration of the contract.

Phase 2: Execution (March-July)

  • Learning programme and pilot design: Designing materials and strategy for a multi-month pilot of a global one-to-one peer matching program including instructional materials for implementing staff and participating grantees.
    • Develop recommendations for expanding upon the one-to-one matching program, to potentially organize global convenings and knowledge dashboard
    • Coach staff in preparing for sustainability of knowledge sharing strategy
  • Create appropriate learning products:
    • Produce a capacity building plan for staff in 14 cities to continue to apply tools and methods in the longer term.
    • Develop resources and guidance for grantees to use the one-to-one matching.
    • Design training materials for staff on how to maintain and manage a one-to-one grantee matching programme and support grantees to participate in it.
    • Visual and graphic design of tools and learning materials, as needed
  • Pilot the one-to-one peer matching programme with at least two sets of grantees
    • Co-develop the methodology for connecting grantees based on shared challenges with the Learning & Innovation team
    • Manage the matching pilot
    • Create a report with lessons learned and recommendations for scaling the pilot matching.
  • Pilot virtual learning exchange, as a related addition to the one-to-one matching pilot program, bringing in subject matter expertise and a larger audience (exact concept development will be based on further consultation)
    • Design materials and session structure for a virtual learning exchange for grantees, focused on one thematic area.
      • Develop recommendations for expanding upon the virtual learning exchange, to allow for replication on other topics regularly
      • Coach staff in preparing for subsequent virtual learning exchanges

Phase 3: Finalisation (July)

  • Handover documentation and final reporting support.
    • Produce a report on the one-to-one matching programme implementation.
