About the Role:
As Lead Veterinarian, you will play a pivotal role in both clinical excellence and team leadership, working hands-on with patients while supporting and developing our veterinarians.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing high-quality medical and surgical care across a diverse GP caseload
• Leading, mentoring and supporting the GP veterinarian team
• Acting as line manager for GP veterinarians, including coaching and day-to-day guidance
• Supporting performance development and appraisals
• Assisting with training and development of nurses and animal attendants as required
• Contributing to clinic growth initiatives, including marketing and community engagement
• Being an active member of the hospital leadership team, influencing direction and culture

About You:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in small animal general practice
• Strong clinical capability with confidence in mentoring and leadership
• Bachelor or Doctor of Veterinary Science
• Registered (or eligible) with the ACT Veterinary Practitioners Board
• Passionate about delivering exceptional care in a collaborative, values-driven environment
