The Lead Technician is responsible for independently and as part of a team carrying out bolt torquing, tensioning, and related maintenance activities in oil & gas, petrochemical, and process plant environments. Ensures safe, efficient, and leak-free operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute hydraulic, pneumatic, and manual bolt torquing and hydraulic bolt tensioning.

  • Perform nut splitting, flange spreading, and alignment tasks.

  • Select, set up, and maintain tools and consumables for each job.

  • Follow work instructions to achieve correct torque/tension values and sequences.

  • Maintain accurate job records and complete flange tightening reports.

  • Troubleshoot issues like damaged threads, fasteners, or gasket failures.

  • Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, and client representatives on site activities.

  • Uphold safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard awareness.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on bolting tools and report malfunctions.
