Rayn is seeking a passionate Lead SQA Engineer to play a pivotal role in our mission to build and ship high-quality technology products and services that delight our customers. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and exceptional user experience of our software applications. Your dedication to testing and identifying defects, coupled with a strong drive for automation, will directly contribute to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.


What you will bring to Rayn as a Lead SQA Engineer 

  • Build and deliver high-quality technology products and services that create strong customer satisfaction and reliability.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for Software Quality Assurance, with a keen eye for identifying defects and continuously improving the overall customer experience.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks to reduce manual testing efforts and improve testing efficiency.
  • Apply hands-on experience in test automation for web applications, mobile applications, and backend systems.
  • Possess a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing documentation to ensure robust test coverage.
  • Mentor, coach, and support junior SQA engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
  • Lead and manage the team of SQA engineers, including conducting regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Drive the engineering organization toward greater automation maturity and overall SQA excellence.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging trends, tools, and practices in software testing and automation.
  • Take ownership of defining holistic test coverage strategies, ensuring quality considerations are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, and project managers, confidently challenging assumptions and aligning on quality standards to ensure successful product delivery.


Technology 

Tech stack includes: 

  • Node.js & TypeScript for our backend services 
  • SvelteKit as our front-end framework 
  • Docker for containerization and efficient environment management • Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using tools like Cloud Run and Cloud Functions  for serverless operations 
  • Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enabling consistent, repeatable  environments 
  • GitHub for version control 
  • CircleCI for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)


Your qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in testing, QA/QC, and test automation.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with two or more of the following: Cypress, Selenium, Playwright and Postman.
  • Expertise in two or more of the following tools: Jira, TestRail, git, Rest Assured, TestNG, qase.io, and Cucumber.
  • Experience working with programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Web application & Mobile app development.
