We are looking for a Lead Software Developer to join our engineering team and take a key role in the technical leadership, design, and delivery of scalable software solutions. This position combines strong hands-on development with architectural ownership, technical decision-making, and mentorship of other engineers.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer who can ramp up quickly, navigate ambiguity, guide technical direction, and ensure high standards of quality while collaborating closely with product, design, and client stakeholders. While the team works primarily with modern web technologies, we value solid engineering fundamentals over experience in a single stack.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical leader for the team, owning architecture decisions and guiding implementation strategies
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade applications
- Provide technical mentorship and code review to ensure best practices, performance, and maintainability
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Lead technical discussions, estimate effort, identify risks, and propose pragmatic solutions
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, security, and operational excellence
- Support team growth by promoting engineering best practices and continuous improvement
- Remain hands-on in development while balancing leadership responsibilities
Hard Skills
Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Software Developer with demonstrated technical leadership responsibilities
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, or .NET)
Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and web development principles
Experience designing and building production-grade systems with a focus on scalability and maintainability
Ability to quickly ramp up in new codebases, domains, and technologies
Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Azure
Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and integration patterns
Soft Skills
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and ability to lead by example
Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, execution-oriented approach

Hands-on experience with Next.js and modern frontend frameworks
