The Lead Logistics Service Rep is responsible for the daily pick-up and delivery of various items, emphasizing safety and customer service. This position will also be the primary backup and will be responsible for learning all routes in the location. In addition, the Lead LSR will need to have the ability to learn and operate all the Box Trucks routes where applicable.
Essential Duties:
• Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related material
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle accurately
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules • Demonstrate safe and
courteous driving behavior
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction
• Conduct pre/post trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong reliability
• Has a flexible schedule, can learn and cover up to 100% of market route activities
• Supports classroom and on-the-road job training with new team members
• Assists LSRs during pre and post-route activities
• Assists and communicates with LSRs on the road during their route
• Route and on-demand activity monitoring
• Assist with fleet preventative maintenance coordination
• Ensure compliance with safety, client, & operational procedures & identify improvement opportunities with management
• New location in-service; system data maintenance
• Support for basic client requests such as item tracking or label ordering • Coordinate staging of materials for same-day or next-day routes • Maintain daily communication with onsite or offsite management • Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture • Other job-related duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Relevant industry/driving experience preferred
Skill and Competency Requirements:
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving history
• Due to driving requirements, must be at least 21 years of age
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Ability to pass initial and random background check and drug screen
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
• Collaborative work style, able to work well within and across departments
• Proficiently with Microsoft Office
