Lead Linux Developer – Cybersecurity & Regulatory Documentation

TLDR

Develop secure, scalable Linux-based components and services while collaborating within an international team to enhance global healthtech and improve patient outcomes.

When joining this position, you will:

  • Develop secure, scalable Linux-based components and services
  • Design and implement APIs and microservices with a strong focus on security-by-design
  • Integrate security mechanisms into the software architecture, applying threat modeling techniques to identify and mitigate potential risks early in the design phase, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, IEC 62304, and MDR.
  • Create and maintain regulatory-compliant technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Regulatory Affairs, and QA to ensure documentation quality
  • Contribute to the development of guidelines and best practices for secure and regulatory-compliant software engineering, ensuring alignment with industry standards
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the development team
  • Actively participate in internal communities of practice focused on Linux, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Continuously stay up to date with emerging technologies, standards, and security requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux development, ideally in a regulated environment (e.g., MedTech, Automotive)
  • Deep expertise in Go, C#, or NodeJS and in designing secure software architectures
  • Experience with regulatory documentation and standards such as MDR, ISO 13485 etc.
  • Familiarity with security-related technologies and tools
  • Experience with CI/CD and container technologies 
  • Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
  • Structured, documentation-oriented working style with a high standard of quality
